We will clip back vegetation and remove blowdowns on Ramseys Draft Trail. This popular trail has gotten badly overgrown this summer with all the wet weather. We will start at Mountain House Picnic Area on Rt. 250 and work as far as we can. We will stop working around 2:00 p.m.
This is a Wilderness area, so we will be using hand tools. If you have loppers, shears, hand clippers, or a small saw, bring it. Bring a hard hat if you have one, gloves, and eye protection. We will bring extra hard hats and tools: Corona saws, loppers, shears, and hand clippers. Wear long pants, and bring water, food, and a raincoat.
We will have some stream crossings, but the water is currently very low. The crossings should be easy if these conditions continue.
Beginners are welcome. We will train you and provide tools.
If anyone is interested, we can stop at White's Wayside on Rt. 250 for a cold drink and/or something to eat after the worktrip.
Please let me know if you can come.
