Congratulations to Peggy Shy for completing our North River Ranger District 90 Mile Challenge.
Peggy went above and beyond in this challenge by completing 136.82 miles so far. She said that her favorite hike was Elliott Knob, stating "it was hard, but I felt so accomplished after I made it through to the end." Peggy joined Howard Davis on that hike and was impressed with his knowledge of the area. She said "we went up the trail and came down the fire road. I didn’t like the fire road, but the trail up to the top was pretty great. I never thought I would be able to do a hike like that when I first started so knowing that I can do it gives me a great feeling." We are so glad that Peggy has joined our group and shares her enthusiasm for hiking and learning new trails with us.
